Amazing!
spent the Valentine’s day with my friends…such an amazing and serene place. We had lots of fun andthe food was good!….buh brace yourself for a long bumpy ride!!!! overall its a nice place…looking forward to go there again!!?

The Lansdown Resort welcomes guests to the ultimate Aburi mountains hotel experience. With its serene atmosphere, the resort allows you to be present in every moment and experience the sublime beauty of nature and unique pleasures of life. The hotel boasts a number of facilities including air-conditioning, meeting and banqueting facilities for social and corporate gatherings etc.

At The Lansdown Resort fine dining is our pleasure, Delicious local and continental dishes abound at the restaurant at the resort. Our mouthwatering delicacies can be enjoyed with the pool and beautiful vegetation in sight. Our bar is well stocked with both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks from which guests can order and this can be enjoyed by the poolside. Breakfast is complimentary.

The Lansdown Resort rooms offer comfort in a lush tropical setting in a way that tempts one to forgo leaving the resort. The hotel is fitted with air-conditioning, shower, bath, wardrobe, flatscreen TV with cable TV service, tea/coffee making facilities, bottled water, hairdryer, telephone and mini-bar. Toiletries are provided.

The hotel has a swimming pool where guests can enjoy a swimming session and a tennis court where the sportive guest can exercise. Airport shuttle and city shuttle can be arranged up on request. Also laundry and dry cleaning services can be provided at a charge.

The Lansdown Resort is located in the Aburi Mountains. The Aburi Gardens are a 20-minutes drive from the hotel. The Main Aburi Road is a 10-minutes drive from the hotel and the Accra International Airport is a 50-minutes drive.

Eastern Region Aburi

Aburi is a town in the Akuapim South Municipal District of the Eastern Region of south Ghana. Aburi is famous for the Aburi Botanical Gardens. Aburi has a relatively small population, Aburi has a 2013 population of 18,701 people.

Aburi is north east of Accra, and the journey from Accra to Aburi is about 45 mins (will be less when the dual carriage road from Tetteh Quarshie Circle to Adenta Barrier is completed by 2014). Due to the altitude of Aburi, the climate is a lot cooler than neighbouring Accra. The road which climbs the hillside to Aburi is a toll road, with the current toll being 0.50 Ghc for a car, 1.00 Ghc for a 4×4. There is a higher charge for vans and lorries. From the road most of Greater Accra is visible below, although the one stopping space for pictures on this section of road has a “No Stopping” sign.

Aburi is host to one of the finest wood markets not only in Ghana but in Africa. Aburi has been rumoured that goods manufactured at the Aburi markets have found their way to South Africa to be sold on to tourists.

Aburi Botanical Gardens is result of a well known Ghanaian tourist destination.
